English: voting with a European nationality (model Y32)

If you are a resident in the Netherlands with a Dutch nationality, you are a national of another Member State of the European Union (EU). As such, you are permitted to decide for yourself in which EU country you wish to vote in the elections for the European Parliament: either in the Netherlands (the EU country in which you are resident) or in the EU country of which you are a national.

If you choose to vote in the Netherlands in the elections for (Dutch) members of the European Parliament, you must register accordingly, with your municipality. You do this by filling out the form blow. When you have completed filling out the form, you cannot vote in the country of which you are a national anymore.

If you prefer to vote in the European elections in the EU country of which you are a national, you are not required to register with your Dutch municipality, unless you have already registered for the European elections, in the Netherlands. In that case, you should contact the Dutch municipality where you live, to withdraw your previous Y 32 registration. You can request information about any previous registration from your municipality.
